I like to see a man proud of the place in which he lives. I like to see a man live so that his place will be proud of him.
Service to Superior that proves my commitment to principled leadership
Attended more than 75% of Board of Trustees Meetings and retreats over the past year, providing commentary on Rocky Mountain Greenway Trail proposed at Rocky Flats, request by developer to change plat note language to require arbitration to address claims of construction defects, lack of public engagement on Town Hall renovations, Rock Creek Circle re-paving and engaging citizens to increase safety for residents of Summit at Rock Creek, design/governance issues related to new multi-family/high density residential construction at Superior Town Center.
As vice chair of Superior’s Parks, Recreation, Open Space and Trails Advisory Committee, I have taken an active role in conducting community engagement opportunities that ensure that our citizens shape the development of recreation resources such as the School Parcel Park scheduled to open later this year as well as Parks 1 & 2 to be developed as part of Superior Town Center.
Member of the committee to develop the town’s 2014 Indoor Recreation Survey used to collect data on the preferences of Superior residents for indoor recreation/community space. I will continue to advocate for the citizens of Superior that this data must serve as the basis for any indoor recreation decisions by our town.
As a member of the Summit at Rock Creek Townhomes HOA Board of Directors (5 as Vice President) provided careful stewardship of association financial and physical resources in order to minimize fee increases while continuing to enhance community amenities, increase community safety and protect property values.
I have been an active volunteer in many of Superior’s community activities including the Superior Morgul, Chili Fest, Superior Downhill Mile, and as a 4th of July Parade judge.
I am the only Trustee candidate that has participated actively in the 2017 Budget meetings.
